GOVERNOR, HONGKONG.

Date 5th November, 1914.

November 5th. In view of need for fully qualified officers et the front, the Army Council requests that military officers employed by Colonial Governments whether on military duties or civil may wherever possible be made available for service with their regiments. In the special circumstances please consider whether any qualified officers who may be willing to serve can be released being replaced in the same way as when on leave.
